My friend Biscan Klaric took me yesterday to an opening of the exibition "Pompei in Zagreb". After we waited for the paparazzi to take pictures of all famous and important people, and of those who feel so, we were allowed to step into the museum in small groups, and see the remains of a town hidden under the ash for two tousand years. I have to say it was crowdy but people were in a good mood so it was very pleasant.
Although I couldn't see everything because so many people were around me, the part I did see was fabolous. Pictures in the post show how the bodies were found when they were found, actually these are not the bodies, but stone.
I had opportunity to see how the old wall- paintings looked like in Pompei, how prostitutes showed what they offer( they had commercials!). There were numbers of statues and jewelery (whisch I liked a lot, it is something I would wear today!)
I really recommend it!
