Prošli petak provela sam u centru Zagreba.
Do petka.
Osim toga, pored fotelje me je čekalo malo, izgrebeno ogledalo.
Hello everybody, Friday has arrived, and probably for most of you it is free weekend (lucky you!).
I've realized today I totally forgot to post here about the May 01st and places to eat and have a coffee.
Labour Day was a non working for me, this time, and there was a plan to go to a journey.
but the weather was cloudy and windy and rainy, and as you can see in the first picture, every tree was in bloom, and if you are allergic to something flowery, then you know what I'm talking about.
So the plan for a trip was changed to a lunch and a coffee and wine in the centre.
We had lunch at the Potato House. I like the food they offer: soups (including borsch) and potatoes filled with different kinds of meats and sauces.
I had a fish soup and potato with chicken and curry. Usually they put butter in it, but since I don't eat diary products, this was the less rich version.
It was actually interesting and pleasant listening to one of the employees speaking English fluent to some foreign customers who happen to enter just about that time.
I know I'm not the only one who had the pleasure listening waiters and waitresses trying to communicate with foreigners, and not only that, I know how menus can be translated. Once we stopped on our way to the coast, and on the menu, which was in both German and English, instead of pork there was Säugling, which means a small baby, and instead of black beer, guests were offered a black bear. It would be funny if it was only a few things, unfortunately we like to call ourselves a touristic country but have a language barrier too often.
Afterwards, we went for a walk and a coffee and wine.
There is this Jägerhorn hotel in the centre, with great coffee and the place looks like someone's living room, I like many things in this coffee place, but mainly the atmosphere.
I also jad this tiny old mirror beside my sofa, and you should never ignore a mirror if it is there, waiting for you, at your coffee table, so of course I took a picture.
I wish you all a warm sunny weekend!
